From the Library

First graders have been conducting a Chocolate Milk Experiment. Girls have noticed that the chocolate milk they drink at recess has numbers stamped on the bottom of the cartons.
Question: Do the numbers tell how chocolaty the milk is?
Hypothesis: 4 is the most chocolaty and 1 is the least
In library class we tasted samples of the four milks, disguised as star, moon, triangle and circle. We tallied our results, comparing findings between the two classes, each of which had several teams of tasters. Then we found out which shapes matched which numbers.
Some tasters thought milk 2 was the most chocolaty. Some thought 3. Most thought 3 and 4 milk were about the same. Some thought 2, 3 and 4 were about the same. All tasters agreed that 1 milk was the least chocolaty.
Now we are writing a letter to Mr. Dewey, the owner of the dairy in Pennsylvania, to let him know our findings and to thank him for the delicious milk.
A few girls have been saying that 4 milk is the luckiest milk. We are not sure how to test this theory.
