Hello From 5th Grade Science!
As the 5th Grades study the Physical Science unit of Matter-Parts and Properties we have already conducted a variety of explorations. This week we continue to consider properties of matter. Students have collected data on the viscosity of various substances. Here are a few picture from the study of density. A great example is to compare water and foam. 100mL of each have very different masses. These activities allow our students the opportunity to practice recording data in their notebooks, using a digital scale, measuring volume, and working with a partner. Its going to be exciting to see this data in a graph!
All the Best,
Mr. Noah Robinson
